RC QC MediaTech Takes A Leap Towards a Safe Digital World

On July 30, 2023, the digital landscape was illuminated with the spirit of hope and cooperation as President Sophia Mara of Rotary Club of QC MediaTech (D3780) led the remarkable event.

In collaboration with more than 20 clubs from District 3780, D3850, and D3810/3830, they focused on Rotary Peace and Conflict Prevention through the club’s CyberTeach advocacy. The vision was clear, and the engagement was heartfelt, resulting in an inspiring session filled with wisdom, resilience, and understanding.

The virtual event, hosted on Zoom, was graced with the insightful knowledge of Dr. Meric Mara, a Certified Ethical Hacker, who guided attendees through Data Leak Protection, Types of Threat Actors, How data capture was done, and strategic ways to prevent data leakage problems.

District 3780 Governor Paul Angel Galang’s warm welcome remarks and the moving message from the District Community Service Chair PP Rhyan Virrey added to the richness of the dialogue, empowering all to reflect on our roles in contributing to a safer digital future.
Overall, the virtual event was a shared journey towards global harmony. Together, the host cluband other participating clubs took important strides to build a world where data is safeguarded, conflicts are averted, and peace prevails.

Congratulations to RC QC Media Tech Pesident Sophia Mara, for turning possibilities into tangible realities.
