Rotary Club of Kalibo (D3850) led by Hope Creating President Alberto “JayR” Villaruel, Jr. and Rotary Club of Makati Dasmariñas (D3830) led by Hope Creating President Josierina Sarmiento-Veloso signed sisterhood last Sept. 9, 2023,
Witnessing the signing of the sisterhood were RCK President Nominee Jeffrey Maglantay and RCMD President Nominee Trajan Alteza. These clubs started collaborating on Dec.14, 2021.
Likewise, the same sisterhood was signed for the first time with Hope Creating President Glenda P. Rabino, witnessed by Service Project Director Michael Rabino of Rotary Club of Vigan (D3790).
In Rotary, sister clubs are two clubs from different countries or districts that form a long-term relationship to promote international understanding and goodwill and carry out service projects in their communities.
The event was simultaneous with the 57th Induction and Handover Ceremonies of the Rotary Club of Kalibo, where D3850 Gov. Mate Espina was the Inducting & Guest Speaker. Also present where PDG Joji Tan (D3830), PDG Raphy Tayco and DGE Voting Centino with lady Rose, PDG Mark Ortiz (D3850), PRMFI Subscription Coordinator PP Megs Lunn, and other dignitaries. It was held at Aklan Tourism Training Center, Old Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan.
