On Oct. 24, 2023, the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo celebrates #WorldPolioDay. Together with partners in service, RCC Albasan, Rotaract, Interact, Breastfeeding Mommies of Aklan, Little Lamb Learning Center, Creative Child Learning Center, Autism Heart Philippines Fashion Arts Autism Benefits’ (FAAB) Kalibo Art Therapy Program, CityMall Kalibo, NIG Marketing and Judan Vargas Events, we recognize the #EndPolio initiative and progress by the Rotary International.
Rotary is asking everyone to help then finish the job and end polio for good to ensure that this paralyzing disease does not return to polio-free countries, putting children everywhere at risk. We encourage parents to get their children (5yo below) vaccinated, and share factual vaccination information.
Simultaneously, the club signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Breastfeeding Mommies for Mother and Child collaboration, and Albasan Elementary School for the RCC Economic and Livelihood projects. Likewise, thru Hope Creating President, donated one wheelchair to a child from Batan, Aklan and a few Easel Stands for use of children with special needs.
Our media partners Kalibo Cable TV Network, Love Radio Kalibo, Aklan Cable TV and Paradise Cable TV Networks also joined the cause to #EndPolio.
