On Sept 29, 2023, the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850) led by Pres. Ricky I. Molo, Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Parish Pastoral Council (Balabag) and Philippine Dental Association Aklan led by Dr. Jaz Rentillo, hosted the successful “Healthy Teeth, Healthy Life” dental mission and free blood typing.
The generous service catered to nearly 100 patients. They provided dental extractions, cleanings, and a few fillings. PAMET Aklan also rendered free blood typing to 50 recipients, and more or less 70 of them received free medicines and vitamins from PPA Aklan and Rotary.
The club would like to extend their gratitude to the host Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joe Relente and his team ministry, service partners including the Phil. Pharmacists Association Aklan, Philippine Red Cross-Aklan, MDRRMO Malay, Mother Butlers, PCTV/ACTV, other volunteers and sponsors, and Rotaract Club of Metro Kalibo. Their support has been invaluable.
Prior to the event, Rotary and PDA Aklan renewed their partnership through the Signing of Memorandum of Understanding for RY 2023-2024, held at Jasper’s Restaurant, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.
In addition, through Rotary Project WALK, they donated a wheelchair to a patient referred by the parish at Brgy. Yapak of the same island.
