The R.I. President for RY2023-2024 is Gordon McInally, and a proud Scotsman!  In this article, we introduce the man who will guide Rotary International to achieve his goals for the organization.  We delve into his roots as a Scotsman and dentist, and his love for the Scottish delicacy — haggis! We are introduced to his loving wife, Heather, and how their marriage is a combination of individual interests but are hone together with a strong love for each other.  Before assuming his role as R.I. President, he already got his stripes leading Rotary as President of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI).  His is a tale of true service and we invite you to peruse his illustrious amazing stories in this article, “Ethos in Action,” starting on page 30.

This month also marks the start of the terms of the new Chairman for the Philippine Rotary Media Foundation, Inc., the publisher of The Philippine Rotary Magazine — PDG Michael “Mike” E. Lirio, from Tanauan, Batangas.  Let’s wish him and his new Board all the best in steering the organization to new heights.

R.I. has awarded the hosting of the 2028 R.I. Convention to the Philippines.  Read all about how we aspired, applied and convinced the R.I. Inspection Team and the R.I. Board of Directors to officially to select and award the hosting of this prestigious international event to Manila, Philippines, last January 14, 2023.  Story begins on page 52.
