Connecting Across Differences: Amador Tolentino, Jr.

Rotary takes pride in its diversity that cuts across continents, gender, political affiliations, culture, age, and ethnicity.

The incoming batch of governors in the Philippine districts are an interesting microcosm capturing the diversity of Rotary, and yet there are discernible attributes common among them—the strongest of which are a desire to bring unity and peace in their districts, and the firmness with which they assert their decisiveness.

Introducing the governors for Rotary Year 2019 to 2020.

“I make a decision after carefully deliberating on all available information. Because I take the time to listen to all sides, I tend to stand firm on the decision I take.”

“I want my district to be known locally and globally as a district that champions the cause of peace. I would like all the clubs in my district to erect Rotary peace monuments in the key cities  in our district, landmarks that will stand the test of time, and remind the world that Rotary is a movement that creates peace through projects that address underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, inequality, lack of access to education, or unequal distribution of resources.”

Fr. Sonny Pahed Jr., Everett Olivan, Philip Tan, Bansawan Ibrahim, Liza Elorde, Jon Alonzo Jr., Nelson Aspe, Ador Tolentino Jr., Bernadette Herrera, Raphy Tayco, Jr.
