The last 3 years has seen an increase in mental health issues and specifically loneliness. As lockdowns prevent people from doing what they normally do, this included the usual human activity of interacting with other people. Two articles culled from R.I.’s Rotary Magazine focus on this issue. Connection is a Cure is on page 32 and shows how Rotary clubs are tackling loneliness with meaningful interactions. Then we discuss with an expert, Dr. Loneliness, on how to overcome isolation and its effects. The article starts on page 40.
This month’s featured district is 3790 showcasing the dynamic District Governor Ann Lorenzana. We feature stories from the various clubs in the district showcasing their commitment to service and ending polio.
As a final feature on R.I.President Jennifer Jones’ visit to the Philippines, we highlight her interview with renowned journalist Rico Hizon featured on CNN Philippines’ “The Final Word.”
