Connecting Across Differences: Bernadette Cruz Herrera-Dy

Rotary takes pride in its diversity that cuts across continents, gender, political affiliations, culture, age, and ethnicity. 

The incoming batch of governors in the Philippine districts are an interesting microcosm capturing the diversity of Rotary, and yet there are discernible attributes common among them—the strongest of which are a desire to bring unity and peace in their districts, and the firmness with which they assert their decisiveness.

Incoming District Governor Bernadette Herrera “BH” Dy has a soft heart for women and children, and will fight for their rights. She was chairperson of the Women and Gender Equality committee in the Philippine Congress, and strongly supported the RH (Reproductive Health) bill. She was vice chair of the committee on the welfare of children.
