Connecting Across Differences: Governor Bienvenido Alonzo Jr.

Rotary takes pride in its diversity that cuts across continents, gender, political affiliations, culture, age, and ethnicity.

The incoming batch of governors in the Philippine districts are an interesting microcosm capturing the diversity of Rotary, and yet there are discernible attributes common among them—the strongest of which are a desire to bring unity and peace in their districts, and the firmness with which they assert their decisiveness.

Introducing the governors for Rotary Year 2019 to 2020.

BIENVENIDO C. ALONZO JR.

District: 3770

Badge Name: Jon

Classification: Business Rotary Club of Santa Maria

“I like to keep an atmosphere of openness during my term. I regard my co-Rotarians with respect as my equals. I can understand that there will be differences of opinion but as their governor, I will decide with regard to Rotary matters. As a speaker, I seldom use a prepared speech to address the clubs and the district because I believe talking to my co-Rotarians at the personal level is more authentic and honest.”

Fr. Sonny Pahed Jr., Everett Olivan, Philip Tan, Bansawan Ibrahim, Liza Elorde, Jon Alonzo Jr., Nelson Aspe, Ador Tolentino Jr., Bernadette Herrera, Raphy Tayco, Jr.
