For the Literacy and Basic Education Month of Rotary International, Rotary Club of Kalibo (RC Kalibo) donated 95 reams of A4 bond paper and other school supplies to several public schools in Aklan
RC Kalibo showed its support for public schools in need of supplies for the printing of their learning modules.
Last September 24, RC Kalibo distributed a total of 20 reams of 4A coupon bond and other school materials to two schools—Tomas SM Bautista Elementary School and Tambak Elementary School—in New Washington, Aklan. The distribution of coupon bonds was spearheaded by President Leo Martinez, PP Vady Marin, Secretary Marma Alcedo and Spouse President Erlinda Martinez.
Likewise, President Nominee Josephine Sampaton-Montinola also turned over 10 reams of coupon bond to Camansi Norte Elementary School in Numancia Aklan on the same day.
RC Kalibo also identified more schools like Togas Elementary School and Quirico Tabanera Elementary School in Makato and Linabuan Sur elementary School in Banga as recipients.
The Club partnered with Wadeford Interact Club to distribute the remaining reams to their identified schools. It aims to make this project a sustainable one and is now welcoming donations to support more schools by providing coupon bonds for their learning modules.
