The Municipality of Kalibo and Kalibo Federation of CSOS, Inc. collaborated with Rotary Club of Kalibo and Metro Kalibo (D3850) to help their fellowmen get extra sources of livelihood
About 40 members of Kalibo Federations of Civic Society Organizations jointly participated (about 10-15 people per day) in the Skills Enhancement Training headed by Club President Ramel Villanueva Buncalan. He initiated the process to include Rotary as partners.
They invited Arnold Santillan of Santy’s Food Products (New Buswang) to hold a workshop on Meat Processing from October 8 and 9 on Meat Processing. While Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo’s very own Rotarian Edwin Autencio took over the Bread and Pastry Skills (Korean Fushion) workshop last October 11. RC Metro Kalibo Rotarian Edwin Autencio (Bread & Pastry Trainor), is an alumni of Vocational Training Team (VTT) Rotary International Global Grant scholar in Korea by the mother club and the District 3850, during RY 2017-2018.
Past District Governor Raphy Tayco (D3850) and Past Presidents Edgar Isada and Vady Marin attended one of the trainings.
President Leo Martinez of RC Kalibo and President Rosie Reyes of RC Metro Kalibo was present to oversee the activity.
To beat the COVID-19 crisis, the partnership encourages its trainees to be productive and equip themselves with skills.
