Sweet Valentine’s Surprise With RCSPS

“Oh, it’s just another Zoom Meeting.”

Due to the pandemic, the Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interactors across the globe are forced to communicate virtually this Rotary Year. Sadly, too much of everything is a burden. Too much Zoom can, indeed, be super boring.

To address this fatigue problem, Transforming President Guia Lopez de Leon of the Rotary Club of San Pedro South of District 3820 has been conducting games like Raffle, Bring Me to the Monitor, and Bring Your Finger Down to entice the members to stay all throughout the virtual meetings.

In fact, last February 21, a week after Saint Valentine’s Day, a special surprise was sponsored by her dear friend Jo Santiago to the latest winners of the Zoom meeting.

Victor James Escolano of the Rotaract Club of San Pedro All Star and Mabeh Angelia Matienzo of the Rotaract Club of San Pedro South were able to answer all the questions by TP Guia during their Fellowship. And as a treat, they were given an all-expense paid food trip at Firehouse Grill, Crimson Hotel at Alabang City by Ms. Jo.

With their own chosen dates, cousin Zyra Angela and Rotaractor Piolo Gadiana, the four were extremely delighted by this treat. With flowers, chocolates, good food and good companion, they were able to talk about all kinds of love.

At the same time, the team also planned for more joint projects. This will be in celebration of Rotary International’s 116th Founding Anniversary.

The winners truly had so much fun. The take-out food were given to their respective parents, too. After all, at the core of a great service is a strong camaraderie. And at the backbone of a great servant is a strong family.
