Rotarians celebrate Earth Day 2021

Last April 22, Rotary, together with the whole world, celebrated Earth Day 2021

The members of the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo had different ways of spending Earth Day this year. President Rosie Reyes and President Nominee Romeo Reyes, Jr. planted mangosteen while Director for Public Image Megs Lunn planted mango trees with her nieces Heaven and Sun. Rotarian Edwin Autencio took time to upcycle a plastic bottle, turning it into an indoor vase with ornamental plants.

The group also trooped to the beach to check on the Talisay trees they planted last March—-all were growing well.

“Restore Our Earth not just because we care about the natural world, but because we live on it. We all need a healthy Earth to support our jobs, livelihoods, health & survival, and happiness. A healthy planet is not an option — it is a necessity,” a quote at EarthDay.org read.

Let us participate regularly in restoring and saving Mother Earth. Environment care is one of the Seven Areas of Focus of Rotary International.
