The Rotary Club of Goodlands, Moka, Floréal (Mauritius) and the Rotary Club of Veerbhumi Sambalpur (India) launched the Rotary International Online Art Exhibition 2021 last April 19. The theme was ‘World Peace’, underlining one of Rotary’s main mission.
113 artists of 26 countries, namely Mauritius, India, Madagascar, Ecuador, Morocco, Cordona- Argentina, Denmark, Philippines, Malaysia, Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Egypt, Reunion Island, Indonesia, Colombia, Senegal , Taiwan, Mexico, Kosovo, Ghana, Bangladesh, Panama, France, Turkey, USA, Sri Lanka and Peru participated in this international event.
This project opened opportunities to connect to the world, with intense appreciation of art thru these 113 interpretations of World Peace in 26 different cultures.
As e-mailed to Transforming President Guia Lopez de Leon of the Rotary Club of San Pedro South (RCSPS) and Artist Erick Lo, “Dear artists, you made the artist community proud with your creations and are now Ambassadors of Peace. Your artworks are going to be used reference for the children and an inspiration for young artists and art lovers. The Rotary theme of year 2020/2021 is “Rotary opens Opportunities”. This exhibition has given chance to hidden talents to come forward and express themselves.”
Indeed, this Online Art Exhibition has been a great platform for e-socialization. It has allowed artists from all around the world to express their perspectives but also to share their creative minds to the community. With awareness and fundamental understanding of the need to be empowered on the ethical, academic, moral and emotional fronts, “World Peace” is the aegis of Rotary action.
Moreover, this event has been a great success in Mauritius. The Rotary International Online Art Exhibition has been selected as among the Best Rotary Projects in Mauritius.

Finally, this event also commemorated the birth of Paul Harris, the Founder of Rotary International, whose motto was to promote “World Peace.”
