Rotary Celebrates Friendship and Goodwill

Celebrating friendship and goodwill between the sisterhood of RC Metro Kalibo and Rotary Club of Jefferson (D6250) Wisconsin, USA.

It was in 2019 during the term of club President Deb Eakins McCool-Cloute and the club’s representative back then was Past President Megs Lunn, that they have officially signed an international sisterhood for partnership and continuing friendship. Currently, leading the club is Life-Changing President Mike Howard.

In the last three years now, they have consistently supported the RC Metro Kalibo WASH projects by providing funds to build water system in the rural areas of Aklan, in collaboration with the community and other partners, too. Even prior to the pandemic, the clubs already have had a chance for few projects collaboration. They are also one of the five Rotary clubs in Wisconsin who was instrumental of the Global Grant in Project WALK of sisterclub Rotary Club of Forbes Park (D3830). The latest 9 recipients were coming from RC Metro Kalibo.

With gratitude to District 6250 Past District Governor Edwin Bos, for making the MOA Signing possible then. Gov. Edwin, PP Ellen and PP Megs were Alumni of Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE 2015 & 2016) program of Rotary International. Cheers to a celebration of goodwill, friendship and peace! Thank you again for this year’s life-changing project and we will keep you posted. Together, we “Serve to Change Lives.”
