Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo President Ricky Molo launches Pinta ng Pag-asa

President Ricky Molo of the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo launched the “Pinta ng Pag-asa” art exhibit for a cause on September 30, 2023. The event highlighted the artistic abilities and talents of students at Creative Child Learning Center. It was held at the Museo it Akean, Kalibo, Aklan.

The theme of “Pinta ng Pag-Asa” is in response to RI President Gordon McNally’s call to action this year, which is “Create Hope in the World.” His theme also aligns with his advocacy for mental health, where he encourages everyone to be a beacon of hope in any way possible, even through small gestures.

The club is also happy to provide a platform for the art created by Rotarian Lorraine, children from CCLC, and those living with disabilities. Through their paintings, these individuals were able to creatively express their thoughts and showcase their impressive artistic skills.

Pres. Ricky was joined by PP Megs Lunn, Rtn. Lorraine Joy Valenzuela, Rotaract Pres. Ace Feliciano, ALS Interact President Sandra Dela Cruz, Museum Curator Ms. Anna India Legaspi, SB Ronald Marte (representing Mayor Juris Sucro), and all the parents and children from our partner institution CCLC.

The exhibits are set to run until October 29, 2023, and we extend an invitation to all Aklanons and visitors to visit Museo it Akean in Kalibo Aklan and support our endeavor to provide more art materials to the exhibiting artists.
