Rotary Club of Guiguinto Bloomingdales D3770 kicked off its activities for the year with a tree planting event.
Last July 22, five active members of RC Guiguinto Bloomingdales D3770 started an initiative of planting trees on elementary schools in Guiguinto.
The five members helped one another to plant 125 fruit bearing trees of pomelo and guyabano on three different public schools of Guiguinto and on community garden of two different barangays. All in all, they were able to plant 25 trees per destination, St. Rita (FCLNHS), Tuktukan Elementary School, and Tabang Elementary School as well as at the back of Shell of Asia and at the Multipurpose Hall.
The project aims to inspire educators and students to affect positive change at their school while teaching the importance of taking care of the environment to the next generation.
